    Stellenbosch racist incident an insult to Africans

    What a student from Stellenbosch University has done is not only an insult to the fellow student who is a victim, but an insult to all Africans since we are cherishing the spirit of ubuntu this month. Such a behaviour should be harshly discouraged with no mercy whatsoever. Bullying is another thing, but urinating on someone's belongings is objectifying a human being to trash.

    Stellenbosch University 'deeply distressed' after student arrested for alleged rape

    A Stellenbosch University student has been arrested for alleged rape, the South African Police Service (Saps) has confirmed. The suspect was arrested on Thursday morning after a 19-year-old girl reported the incident to the police. According to the police, the alleged rape occurred at around 10:30pm on Wednesday at a residence on Victoria Street in Stellenbosch.

    SAA pilot who operated a flight that near-stalled over the East Rand after take-off gets promotion

    South African Airways (SAA) has confirmed one of the pilots who operated the nearly ill-fated vaccine flight to Brussels last year has been put in charge of training at the airline. Captain Vusi Khumalo assumed the role of the SAA Training Organisation on 1 April. In February last year, an SAA vaccine collection flight to Brussels near-stalled over the East Rand after take-off.
